One of the first interviews with Simon Kjær after signing for AC Milan. What does it mean to him to start playing for his dream club? Read the English translation below.
Simon Kjær: "It has always been a dream for me to go to Milan. In the end there was an
opportunity and I took it. And I am very, very happy to be here. It's a very big club and when
you take a spin at Milanello you feel that it has a great history, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
So, it is a pleasure to be here and I am very, very satisfied to be here."
Simon Kjær: "There is always something special when someone who is an idol for you calls
you and says: "Come to Milan". I have the maximum respect for Paolo Maldini for his
career alone, and the fact that he's so friendly makes it even better. So for me it was
a pleasure to get to know him and I can say for myself that I have arrived here. And as I
said, it's a dream to be here and it is
my intention to stay here and help the team as much as possible."

Simon Kjær: "I think the main thing now is to work every day, get better every day and
get as many points as possible and then the quality. I'm here now and
if you take a player like Ibra, he does something for the group, for everyone,
on the field, but also mentally. So, I think it's too early to think about the championship.
We have to think about every day and improve every day and the main thing is to come forward
as far as possible and give the best."
Simon Kjær: "Yes, I know him well. I've met him a few times in my career, many times in fact, and we've had our fights on
the field, but now there's no problem between us. We also talk calmly to each other and have the same motive. Now
it's about helping Milan and getting as far as possible. He motivates everyone and is a great champion, his career,
I don't have to talk about all the cups and trophies he has won. It's a pleasure for everyone."
