Interview Simon Kjær about Football Fund and The Red Cross helping children in need. This interview was broadcast November 30, 2020.
Simon Kjær: "It means a lot that one can help young children that have a little more difficulty
getting through reading and spelling. I have had the same problems myself as well -
things came harder, took a little longer, so that those lessons or homework that
should’ve normally taken 10-15 minutes would sometimes take an hour.
Then motivation falls along with self esteem, not being able to have the best understanding of one’s
self. That the profit from these book sales is going to vulnerable children,
kids who can’t even celebrate a birthday and so on, is fantastic. It’s one of those
things the national team has always supported.
Now with the Football Fund and The Red
Cross it’s just great and we are happy and proud to be able to help these children in
need who find themselves in difficult situations. So for us its a privilege to help."
