Simon Kjær was in the starting lineup with AC Milan against Monza on 17 December 2023, after a muscle injury that lasted almost two months. And what a comeback. He played an amazing match and brought vibes to the team like only he can.

Simon Kjær suddenly seemed to have recovered from the muscle injury. The injury occurred around 25 October against PSG.
Many times it was said that he was about to return, but that just didn't happen for quite a while. He first showed up during a training session on
6 December 2023. So we thought he was back.
But then again he disappeared.
It took ten more days until he showed up in a training session with the group on 15 December 2023. With the match against Monza coming up,
this was a positive thing.
On 16 December the team gathered at the hotel with the team and yes, Simon Kjær was there too. They stayed at the hotel to be ready for the early match against Monza on Sunday.

Our favourite defender showed a strong performance against Monza. He made many great saves and he looked as if he had never been away.
He also celebrated with Simić, who made his debute and scored the 2-0 in the 41st minute.
Simon was substituted in the 67th minute. Pioli said: "The idea was to protect Kjær, after a long injury break".
